Rebecca Chadwell works in cross-disciplinary collaboration and sound design. Past projects include sound design for film, installations at festivals across Canada and the US, and Arts education. She is currently on the board of INK Artspace, guides future rock stars at Girls Rock Lab, and is co-founder of The Richmond Art Collective. She holds degrees in writing and socio-linguistics. My work seeks a receptive presence over complexity. Context and vibrant matter create a natural point of focus for process. Technically, I work to combine different materials, concepts and/or chemical processes.
The culmination of years spent field-recording border zones revealed violence, instability, and fear, but also poignancy, hope, and procession.
